Will Sutton

Will plays the Willson 2900TA

Dr. Will Sutton is an avid teacher and performer of euphonium, tuba, and trombone. He has held teaching positions at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music, Olivet College, and Saginaw Valley State University. As a performer, Will’s experience spans a wide range of musical styles and genres. He has performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Capital City Brass Band, Mountain Town Brass Band, and Mid-Michigan Brass Band. Will has performed as a soloist with groups such as the Crane Symphonic Band, Olivet College Wind Ensemble, Saginaw Valley State University Wind Ensemble, and Mid-Michigan Brass Band to name a few. He has been invited to perform at conferences such as the Midwest Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference and International Tuba and Euphonium Conference. Will is a founding member of the Saginaw Valley State University Brass Quintet.

Will holds Degrees from Michigan State University, The State University of New York at Potsdam, and Schenectady County Community College. His solo playing can be heard under the Kendor Music, Inc. label. His teachers include Phillip Sinder, Ava Ordman, Charles Guy, Mark Hartman, Michael Wilkinson, and Michael Meidenbauer.

Will is a Willson Performing Artist, playing the 2900 TA and 3400 FA-5.
