Rodolfo Epelde was at the San Sebastian Conservatory and went on to finish his studies of the horn under professor Miguel Angel Colmenero at the Madrid Superior Conservatory with distinction. In addition, Rodolfo studied under Ab Koster at the Hochschule für Musik in Hamburg and with Daniel Bourgue at the Conservatoire National de Region in Versailles (France).

Rodolfo Epelde is a soloist horn player in the Spanish National Orchestra. He also acts as professor`s assistant for Radovan Vlatkovic at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid. He regularly holds master classes in Tenerife, Zaragoza, Gran Canaria and international high schools such as Codarts in Rotterdam and the "Hans Eisler"-Musikhochschule in Berlin.

Rodolfo has performed as a soloist in some of the best orchestras in Spain: Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquestra "Ciutat de Barcelona", Orquesta de Euskadi, Orquesta de Cámara Reina Sofía, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid und the Spanish National Youth Orchestra conducted by Carlos Kalmar, Franz Paul Decker, Christian Arming, Yuri Bashmet, Miguel Groba and Edmón Colomer
