Ian Shepherd

Ian studied for his Bachelor of Music Degree (BMus) at Canterbury Christchurch University and then went on to study the tuba with Patrick Harrild (Principal tuba-London Symphony Orchestra) at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall in London. He is currently principal tuba of Her Majesty’s Band of the Grenadier Guards, where he has held the position for the last eight years.

Thomas Leforestier

Thomas Leforestier was only a child when he started music and took his first piano lessons. It's only
later that he got into playing the tuba.
He graduated in musicology at the Faculty of letters and human sciences in Nancy - France. He also
got a diploma from the Conservatoires Nationaux of Nancy and Strasbourg. There, he won the first
Prize for Scholarship and a unanimous first Prize in Tuba.
When still a student, he founded the En'tract Brass quintet and became ambassador artist for the
Willson Brand.

Meng-Hsin Tsai

Meng-Hsin Tsai holds the diploma of Konzertexamen in tuba performance at Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf.
Tsai studied with André Gilbert at Conservatoire National de Région de Rueil-Malmaison in France. After France, he continued his studied in Germany with Walter Hilgers at Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” Weimar and with Hans Nickel at Hochschule für Musik Detmold.

Meng-Hsin Tsai

Meng-Hsin Tsai hat an der Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf studiert, wo er mit grossem Erfolg sein Konzert- und Soloexamen erhalten hat. Tsai studierte mit André Gilbert am „Conservatoire National de Région de Rueil-Malmaison in Frankreich. Zusätzlich studiert Tsai bei: Walter Hilgers an der Hochschule für Musik „Franz List“ in Weimar und mit Hans Nickel an der Hochschule für Musik in Detmold.

Irving Ray

Dr. Irving Ray is a euphonium player in the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in Washington, D.C. In addition to having performed across the United States at conferences and conservatories as a member of the North Texas Euphonium Quartet, Dr. Ray is an internationally known soloist and teacher, having been invited each year Singapore since 2013 with the Wind Bands Association of Singapore, performing as a guest soloist in Mexico with the Monterrey Symphony Orchestra, and serving as a guest soloist and brass lecturer with the Field Band Foundation in Durban, South Africa. Daniel Steppeler

Daniel is born in Bielefeld and got in touch with the music since his earliest youth. 
He studied trombone at the Musical Highschool in Detmold with Professor David Bruchez-Lalli.
In the subsidiary study Euphonium he received lessons from Professor Anne Jelle Visser.
An exchange program took him to the University of Music and Performing Arts for two semesters, where he studied in the class of Profesor Otmar Gaiswinkler.
Subsequently, he resumed his studies in Detmold, but now with Prof. Otmar Strobel, and graduated with the diploma.

Daniel kommt aus Bielefeld und war schon seit frühester Kindheit in Kontakt mit der Musik. 
Er studierte zunächst Posaune an der Hochschule für Musik Detmold bei Prof. David Bruchez-Lalli. Im Nebenfach Euphonium bekam er Unterricht bei Prof. Anne Jelle Visser.
Ein Austauschprogramm führte ihn für zwei Semester nach Wien an die Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, wo er in der Klasse von Prof. Otmar Gaiswinkler studierte.
