Ann-Julie Skarpmo

Ann-Julie comes from Norway and plays on Willson Euphonium
Ann-Julie Skarpmo is a Norwegian euphonium player, and is currently solo euphonium for The Norwegian Army Band North. She took up the position in the band at the age of 22, and is the first ever female euphonium player in the history of the Norwegian military bands. Ann-Julie has emerged as a highly successful soloist, performing solo recitals, both nationally and internationally. She has appeared as a soloist at international festivals, such as the International Tuba and Euphonium Competition, the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, and Brass Evenings at Mariinsky. Ann-Julie also teaches, focusing on younger musicians and students. Since 2003 she has worked with many bands, and taught at a variety of seminars and workshops. Ann-Julie plays on a Willson 2950TA euphonium.
