As colleague and
dear friend of Raf Van Looveren, I've been closely involved in the development
of the Willson cornet. Raf and I play togheter on a daily base at the Royal
Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides and Brass Band Willebroek. We talked a lot
about the development and production of the Willson cornet. And so Raf helped
to realize this beautiful instrument. For me personally, the Willson cornet is
the perfect instrument in all circumstances, the ideal compromise! The sound is
beautiful , big and wide. The Willson cornet sounds free and natural. It's
color blends perfectly with brass band music. And yet this does not compromise
the transparency and clarity which is certainly necessary at the Royal
Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides. I can adjust well in any orchestra and
mix with all instruments, both copper, wood and strings, both wind bands and
symphony orchestras. The intonation of the Willson cornet is excellent and easy
to correct with the trigger on the tuning slide. The technology and the
finishing are like the precision of a Swiss Swatch. On top of this all, Willson
has ensured that the cornet is easy to play: each note is easy to play and
sounds homogeneous. The air flows easily through your instrument. Thank you Willson and Raf Van Looveren ! |

During the whole day they learned a lot of Jos Jansen's experience as an international bass trombone soloist. Instruments Shop in Tokyo. They enjoyed Michel's very nice concert and learned a lot of things from his master class. DAC Musical Instruments Shop displayed some Willson French horns and many yound players were interested in the CS Willson French horns. Michel Coquart has another two concerts in Nagoya-pref and Hiroshima-Pref. |

   Mit der Provinciale Brass Band Groningen in Hoogezand demonstrierte Philip Cobb wieder seine unglaubliche Musikalität. Zusammen mit seiner perfekten Spieltechnik waren sich die ca. 400 Konzertbesucher einig: "Einen solchen perfekten Solisten haben wir noch nie gehört" It was once again an amazing demonstration of Philip Cobb's musicality. Together with his playing technique the audience of 400 people said: "We never heard before a better soloist" Philip Cobb spielt auf dem Willson Celebration Cornet. Mattis Cederberg -
Bass trombone and Tuba. Born in Falun, Sweden in 1971. Studied trombone and bass trombone with Roger Lindberg and Jan Mortensen at Malmö College of Music 1990-1995. Freelanced in Stockholm/Scandinavia with, among others, The Swedish Radio Jazz Group, Tolvan Big Band, Latin Lover Big Band, NDR Big Band as well as doing pop/rock studio work. Since 2002 Mattis holds the bass trombone/tuba chair of the WDR "West Deutschen Rundfunk Big Band", Cologne. Performances/Recordings with Joe Zawinul, McCoy Tyner, Joe Lovano, Patti Austin, Gary Burton, Maceo Parker, Michael and Randy Brecker and many others. Aside from the WDR BB, Mattis is also a member of the Moserobie label in Stockholm and leads his own band Sonic Mechatronik Arkestra. |
