Born in the West Midlands, Mitch began playing the cornet at the age of 8. 2 years later he joined his local band Black Country Brass at the age of 10. Mitch progressed to play Principal Cornet with the Jackfield (Elcock Reisen) Band and also the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain achieving to get on solo cornet line, and has been privileged to play at some of the UK's premiere concert venues including the Royal Academy of Music, Beccles Church, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Bridgewater Hall. Mitch is currently studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire and studying under the Principal Cornet of Black Dyke, Richard Marshall.
