Irving Ray

The new Generation at Willson is growing. Irving Ray young and very activ in playing!
Dr. Irving Ray is a euphonium player in the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in Washington, D.C. In addition to having performed across the United States at conferences and conservatories as a member of the North Texas Euphonium Quartet, Dr. Ray is an internationally known soloist and teacher, having been invited each year Singapore since 2013 with the Wind Bands Association of Singapore, performing as a guest soloist in Mexico with the Monterrey Symphony Orchestra, and serving as a guest soloist and brass lecturer with the Field Band Foundation in Durban, South Africa. Dr. Ray completed his Bachelor of Music Education at Sam Houston State University and both a Master of Music and Doctorate in Euphonium Performance at the University of North Texas. Some of his greatest musical influences include Frank Troyka, Dr. Matthew McInturf, Rex Martin, Demondrae Thurman, and Dr. Brian Bowman.
